Wij staan op het punt een nieuwe serie van de ElektroPiepenClub te beginnen.

Maak je eigen instrument:

De club is opgesplitst in drie sessies, Akoestisch, Elektronisch en Digitaal

Akoestisch: we bouwen nieuwe en klassieke instrumenten van gerecycled en nieuw huishoudelijk materiaal. Waterslangtrompetten, colablikje-banjo’s en -sitar’s. Als de instrumenten klaar zijn stellen we een orkest samen om ermee samen te spelen. De akoestische sessies zijn geschikt voor kinderen vanaf 5 jaar.

Elektronisch: instrumenten die op een of andere manier met elektriciteit werken. ‘Knock-bot’ drummers, draaitafels, piëzofluiten. Verbindingen worden gemaakt met koperdraad, paperclips en tape. Deze sessies zijn geschikt voor kinderen vanaf 7 jaar.

Digitaal: in 3 tot 4 sessies bouwen we een kompleet digitaal instrument. Deelnemers wordt geleerd hoe ‘breadboards’ te gebruiken en hoe te solderen, en uiteindelijk wordt het produkt ingebouwd en wordt gedemonstreerd hoe het klinkt en hoe het moet worden bespeeld. De instrumenten zijn voornamelijk gebaseerd op het timer-IC 555, radio- en oscillatorcircuits. Deze club is geschikt voor kinderen en jonge mensen vanaf 9 jaar.

Alle sessies krijgen belangstelling vanuit verschillende leeftijden, de minimum leeftijden zijn slechts richtlijnen, gebaseerd op onze ervaring met de motoriek en veiligheid van de deelnemers. Als er vragen zijn: neem gerust kontakt op met Kristina voor meer informatie.

 

STEIM’s Electro Piepen Club

Experimental Instrument building workshops for children from 5 to 12.

The club is divided into three separate sessions, Acoustic, Electric and Digital.

Acoustic: We build new and classic acoustic instruments from recycled and new everyday materials. Water hose trumpets, coke can banjos, tin can sitars. When we are done building the instruments we spend some time playing them together and an orchestra. The acoustic club sessions are open to children as young as 5.

Electric: Instruments that are somehow powered by electricity. Knock bot drummers, turntables, piezo flutes. Connections are made using twisted wires, paperclips and tape. The electric club sessions are open to children from 7.

Digital: Over 3-4 session we build a complete digital instrument. Participants are taught how to use breadboards and solder and the process is concluded by the fitting your circuit into a housing and demonstrating how it sounds and how it should be played. The projects tend to be based on 555, radio and oscillator circuits. The digital club sessions are open to children and young people from 9 and upwards.

All sessions attract a very mixed age profile, the minimum ages are guidelines only, based on our experiences with motorics and safety. If you have questions, feel free to contact Kristina for more information.
