Detailed directions You may reach STEIM by taxi, ca € 35,00, or public transport, € 5,20. By taxi: Achtergracht 19, in the Southern Canal Belt By public transport: Purchase a one-way train ticket, € 3,60, at Schiphol Plaza's central court from either a vending machine or a ticket counter. Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes, and the ride to Central Station will take about 20 minutes. Proceed to the GVB Tickets & Info Desk on the Stationsplein, which is across the way from Central Station. Purchase a single journey (€ 1,60), one zone strip ticket for the #4 tram to the Fredriksplein stop, which is 2.5 blocks from STEIM. (The order of the #4 tram stops: Dam, Spui, Muntplein, Rembrandtplein, Keizersgracht, Prinsengracht, and Frederiksplein.) The ride is about 10 minutes. When you get off the tram, walk one block north to the intersection of Frederiksplein and Utrechtsestraat. Turn right onto Frederiksplein and walk about 50 meters. The street name will change to Achtergracht, and a small canal will appear on your right. Walk another 60 meters and you'll find STEIM, at Achtergracht 19, on your left.
