A night of new works and works in progress. Thursday 7 June STEIM invites local and international artists to present untested new works in front of a live audience.
For this Concept Stage we’re giving the night over to students from the ELAK studios in Vienna. The ELAK is part of Vienna’s music university and is the oldest electronic music studio in Austria. Next year it will celebrate its 50th birthday. Because of the different studying programs the ELAK offers, it attracts students from very diverse backgrounds, including instrumental composers, performance artists, installation artists, DJs and instrument builders. The evening promises to be eclectic and surprising.
The students will be accompanied by teachers Marko Ciciliani, Peter Mechtler, and Wolfgang Musil.
As always, entry is free to concept stage, though we ask you give a donation to help pay for the costs of maintaining the space. Drinks and snacks will also be available at the bar.
