Opened in April this year, the Centre for Sound Art (CASo) has already established itself on the national stage, providing visibility for and consolidating growing levels of artistic production coming out of Argentina. Matías Lennie is the director of CASo and he will give a talk about presenting Sound Art in Buenos Aires

CASo is a permanent centre for sound art, dedicated to showcasing and housing works converging in the field of sound art, music, visual arts, science and technology. Activities are organised along four different lines: a permanent exhibition space, concert series, the MediaLab (where various types of music technology devices are developed) and a permanent web platform.
Matías Lennie Bruno
Matías Lennie Bruno is a musician, composer and multimedia producer, born in 1980 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Lennie is part of argentinian music scene, performing in festivals and events. He created RedPanal, a collaborative network music community, representing it at seminars, meetings, and national/international workshops, such as Medialab-Prado (Madrid), World Social Forum (Brazil), Web prendedor 2009 (Chile), ArtFutura2010 and numerous cities in Argentina. RedPanal is winning project of Buenos Aires Emprende 2008 program and has also been preselected in International Young Music Entrepreneurship, LaRedInnova and TechCrunch. As sound artist Lennie was part of several projects. He was the coordinator of Sonidos Mutantes, experimental sound lab at Casa Nacional del Bicentenario. As performer he was part of Rosales-Lennie-Romeo trio (2012 european tour at CMMR-London, MediaLab Prado-Madrid and GRM-Paris). Actually playing at Banda de Mutantes and solo projects. He studied Electronic Arts at the National University of Tres de Febrero.
