STEIM increasingly partners with academic institutions in order to provide special programs related to sound art, physical computing, music interaction design, and other relevant topics. In addition to educational partnerships with local institutions such as the Conservatory of Amsterdam, the HKU Music Technology Department, and the TU Eindhoven, STEIM also partners with international academic institutions for intensive student residencies and exchange programs.
In 2011 STEIM, in partnership with the Institute of Sonology, began a masters program entitled Instruments and Interfaces, where students investigate specific questions regarding new instruments and performative sound and technology practices.
In addition, STEIM staff members often advise and coach students at many different levels. If you are a student interested in receiving advise or a school teacher seeking external advisors for students please contact us.
