Breaking news: on July 1 the NFPK+ Fund's advisory committee has advised the Fund to support STEIM financially for the period 2009-2012! This advice still has to be confirmed by the Fund's board, but it is very promising.

STEIM needs your support!
Things are not well at STEIM. We are in the danger of losing our structural funding from the government, based on a review from the advisor board which called us "closed and only appealing to a niche audience".

In the meantime we've submitted our Response to the Council for Culture (stating why STEIM should be a part of the basic infrastructure), accompanied by the more than 1000 support letters and emails, and we've send an Addendum to the NFPK+ (the fund we are forwarded to by the Minister of Culture).

Many thanks to all of you who responded! If you'd still like to show your support, you can do so here. As of this moment we have received 483 online support emails, 555 support letters and 75 support letters during through CHI Nederland! All over the world there are online blogs supporting STEIM.
